Spica - Way of Light Creed

Spica - Way of Light has been established to bring an understanding of the Divine Feminine qualities of the Universe to humanity.    We believe The Holy Mother is present in all living things, as well as the Holy Father.

Our spiritual philosophy provides a method for revealing sacred knowledge of the Holy Mother.  Our beliefs extend as far back as the Ancient Essenes, Temples of Egypt, and the Celtic Orders who honored both the Holy Father and Holy Mother.  These time-honored teachings are now honored in our places of worship.

It is the intention of this church, Spica - Way of Light, to expand the wisdom of the Holy Mother by providing worship in the form of regular services and teachings through seminars and symposiums.   These teachings will offer ministerial guidance for all interested in pursuing the expansion of their spiritual beliefs and extending their Grace to others.

Purpose of this Organization

SPICA - Way of Light church and educational programs were officially established through the State of California. It also was deemed a Nonprofit Corporation under 501(C)3 regulations through the Internal Revenue Services.

SPICA - Way of Light holds a purpose to serve the spiritual community interested in metaphysics, transpersonal development, and mystical wisdom of the Divine Feminine Principle. SPICA - Way of Light’s University of Divinity’s ministerial mission is to provide an esteemed, spiritually-based, educational program to assist students in advancing their studies and acquire the status of “Minister.” Upon graduation at the Masters and Doctorate level, the alumni will be granted the right to become a Minister of SPICA - Way of Light and to open to the service of Spiritual Counseling, Spiritual Healing, and other Ministries to support the community in which they are “called” to serve.

SPICA - Way of Light intends to uphold the sacred process of Service to Others. It teaches each student to honor and revere the sacred quality of all life. It is expected that each student will progress and expand his or her spiritual wisdom. The student will extend the wisdom to humanity by embracing the tenets of love, peace, harmony, and union with Source. Through this Ministry of SPICA-Way of Light, the philosophy is carried on with the attitude that Ministry is a response of one’s soul to serve the Divine, and the needs of others as they traverse their life path. A SPICA - Way of Life Minister helps others create patterns of success for all levels of living.

Through Sunday Inspirational Services, as well as the distance learning courses and experiential workshops, each individual is guided to realize and minister the truth that Source and Humanity are One. The realization of this truth is within, and each individual who follows the tenets of SPICA - Way of Light know this mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, and seals it within their daily lives. In so doing, they inspire others to live in harmony with Source, without hesitation.

We are a pro-active, experiential church. We live the principles of transpersonal philosophies based in Divine Mind sciences and mystical wisdom. Our foundation is union with Source through the doorway of the Divine Feminine. We practice Radiant Healing modalities that support balance of body, mind, emotions and ego for union with Soul-Source consciousness. Hands on, Radiant Healing is utilized by our ministers and practitioners and taught through Reiki and Shamanic philosophies in the University of Divinity, a Division of SPICA - Way of Light.

Meditative and contemplative practices are embraced as a way to assist each person in their connection with Source. Aligning with the Law of Living, meditation guides each person through the multi-dimensions of consciousness. It becomes evident that we live on All Dimensions at all times. SPICA - Way of Light teaches the principles of thirteen dimensions.

Ultimately, SPICA - Way of Life honors the Universal Law of Love. This is the unconditional, loving element of Source and resides in every person. It is released by each thought, emotion, and action being aligned congruently in the flow of Oneness.

Through the SPICA - Way of Light University of Divinity, each student investigates, studies and experiments, with an open mind, the multi-dimensions of consciousness that also opens the channel of intuitive capabilities within each person. This provides the empowered state of Oneness, the gift of hands-on healing, and Spiritual communication.

SPICA - Way of Light University of Divinity encourages the extension of this work. After ordination new ministers, and Doctors of Divinity hold meetings, classes and other services to express his or her personal ministry. Auxiliary churches and centers are established under the affiliation of SPICA - Way of Light. This aids the expansion and sharing of the Spiritual Truth accepted and taught through the philosophy of SPICA - Way of Light.

New Thought

The Transpersonal Approach(SM)

The term, “New Thought,” is a phrase used to describe the on-going evolution of consciousness as it unfolds spiritually within each individual. It is noted as the phrase used in the late 1800s and early 1900s as the growth of metaphysical philosophies were occurring. Unity, Religious Science, and the Mother of the movement, Christian Science, were the religious groups that coined the statement. This approach was also practiced by the mystical wisdom schools such as The Golden Dawn, the Builders of the Adytum and other esoteric establishments. New Thought philosophy provides an approach to life with the knowing that Source and Humans are One and the Grace of Love is experienced by all in this union.

“Transpersonal” is a word describing consciousness within and beyond the physical, personal, and Earth plane awareness. Practitioners of the Transpersonal Approach(SM) work with the theme that Mind, Body and Spirit are one and can be understood and brought to balance when the individual moves into the transpersonal arena of awareness. SPICA - Way of Light honors six aspects of consciousness: Spiritual, Emotional, Mental, Physical, Ego and Soul (S.E.M.P.E.S.). When the six aspects are integrated, the individual moves into Transpersonal states of awareness and an awakening to Oneness occurs. In Oneness, the Earth and all Earthly experiences are just as sacred as ethereal or heavenly experiences. All is One. The Transpersonal Approach(SM) to life is lived in honor of Oneness with All. The Transpersonal Approach(SM) emphasizes the empowerment of Self through the congruency of Thought, Emotions and Actions (T.E.A.) flowing with the same intention for life improvement realities.

Many fields of spiritual alignment provide the understanding and use of the Transpersonal Approach(SM): Arcana, Astrology, Contemplation, Dream Philosophy, Esotericism, Intuitive Alignment, Meditation and consciousness expansion, Mysticism, Positive Inner Dialogue, Radiant Healing, Reincarnation, Shamanism, Spiritual Counseling, Tree of Life awareness, and so forth. All fields of awareness in the Transpersonal Approach(SM) provide a means to uncover the Reality of our Oneness with Source. A variety of fields in the Transpersonal Approach(SM) are available for the student to explore through SPICA - Way of Light University of Divinity. Those noted are not all-inclusive of transpersonal wisdom available to the world, but overall, does describe the reality that our human desire to know our connection with the universe can be uncovered. It is the intention of the university to help the students uncover the gift and talent they have for expressing the wisdom of the Universe through one or more of these modalities.

SPICA - Way of Light University of Divinity is a non-secular educational institution that is owned, controlled, operated and maintained by an authentic church with a religious denomination of New Thought - Transpersonal Approach(SM), Divine Feminine philosophy. We are lawfully operating as a nonprofit religious corporation via the State of California Nonprofit Corporation laws and the requirements of the Federal Government under IRS regulations. However, at a minimum, the ordained minister must maintain her or his alignment with SPICA - Way of Light by presenting Monthly Reports of the services provided in the community, and pay association fees of $100.00 per year. These reports and the status of the ministers ministry are kept on file for all legal purposes. They provide evidence to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the State of California of the ministers association with SPICA - Way of Light. Each report demonstrates that the minister is actively practicing and continues to carry a reputable alliance to the religious educational organization that provided the ministerial status. If reports are discontinued and annual fees not paid, the individual will no longer be considered a minister and loose the umbrella of legal status with SPICA - Way of Light.
